As you may knowUS crochet terms are different than UK crochet terms. Here is a chart for you to see them both.US Crochet TermUK Crochet TermChain (ch)Single Crochet (sc)Double Crochet (dc)Half Double Crochet (hdc)Triple Crochet (trc)Abbreviationssl st = slip stitchst(s) = stitch(es)rep = repeatChain (ch)Double Crochet (dc)Treble Crochet (tr)Half Treble Crochet (htr)Double Treble Crochet (dtr)ch = chainsc = single crochetinvdec = invisible decreaseinc = increaseblo = back loops onlyAbout the patternWork in continuous round. Do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed. It would be wise to use a stitch marker &place it in the first stitch of the round to mark the beginning of it. Move the marker up to the first stitch of the next roundafter finishing the previous one.If you need to change colour, do it always at the end of the previous round. Start the last stitch of the round with the oldcolour. Change the colour right before you draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. You can easily sew the toy together when you leave each piece a long yarn tail.Stitch ExplanationInvisible decrease:Insert the hook into the **front loop** of the first stitch (2 loops on hook). **Do NOT yarn over**Insert the hook into the **front loop** of the next stitch. In order to do this, you’ll need to swing the hook down first soyou can insert the hook under the front loop. (3 loops on hook)Yarn over & draw through the first two loops on the hook. (2 loops on hook)Yarn over & draw through both loops on the hook. You’ve done your invisible decrease.Increase:Two single crochet into one stitch.CommentsIn this pattern nearly all the parts start with a magic ring. If you don’t want to use that, you can easily start like this:Chain 2. It might look a bit difficult, but once you get used to it’s easy. If you prefer you can use tinybuttons or embroider eyes onto face.See the pictures below how to make eye.Cut a 30cm long yarn tail. Thread yarn through a needle. Make a slip knot, yarn over pull needle through loop. Leave a little loop at theend. Follow pictures step by step.Page ThreeOnce you’ve gone through the loop 3 or 4times just tighten the loop. Then repeat againwhat you’ve just done until you get the roundshape & the right size eye for the toy like it’sshown in the picture. How to finish eye:Now take two pieces of wool back side of the eye, sew them very tightly onto the eye with black cotton and sewingneedle to make sure your eye won’t undo. Then clear the back side of the eye by using your scissors. Do NOT cut the black cotton on theneedle as you’ll sew the eye onto the face with it. I’ll show you this in the pictures with white cotton as it’s easy for you to see.Page FourEye Colour White Make Two1: Ch 5. Place your stitch marker.2: Sc into the third ch from hook.
